One great thing about all things related to cornhole is that they almost always make great gifts.
If someone is even a little bit into sports or into competition, chances are they will be able to enjoy cornhole. And not just that– they might actually be able to get good at it.
Cornhole is a perfect sport because it can be played just about anywhere and it’s very easy to learn.
It’s also a fantastic way to bring people together in social settings and add a little life to a party, so you really can’t go wrong with cornhole gifts.
What type of cornhole player are you buying for?
When thinking about getting cornhole gifts for someone you need to think about if that person is a cornhole novice or if they are a pretty serious player.
For the newbies
If they are a complete newbie to cornhole and they don’t even have a cornhole board then obviously a good choice for them is to get them a decent little cornhole set.
You don’t have to spend a lot of money to get a decent set and depending on the quality that you want you could probably spend anywhere from around 70 bucks to around 200 bucks.
For more serious players
If someone is a more serious player then you may not want to buy them a cornhole board.
In fact, it might even be a waste to get them bags. That’s because some serious players might prefer a one type of bag filling and you might get them the wrong one.
For serious players it’s probably just better to get them something that is a little bit less central to their gameplay.

Cornhole boards
For the aspiring cornhole player, getting them a cornhole board for Christmas can be the perfect gift.
The good news is that there are some cheap cornhole sets that you can get them so you don’t have to spend an arm and a leg.
But you’ll want to make sure you get them a board that they can actually use.
You can choose between a regulation-sized cornhole board or a tailgate-sized board.
1. Regulation-sized board
If you’re buying a gift for someone who really like competition and sports, they will probably love cornhole. And to appease their competitive nature, you probably want to get them a regulation-sized board.

2. Tailgate-sized board
There are also tailgate-sized cornhole boards.
These are a little bit shorter — usually three feet by two feet.
While they are 1 foot shorter, a lot of pretty serious corn hole players play on these at certain events so they still can offer a high level of competition for people who want to get competitive.
These are perfect for someone who you think would bring it around a tailgate party or other event.
These are also easier to store and transport, so if you think that person might have issues lugging around a huge cornhole set then a tailgate sized board might be more practical
3. Junior-sized
You can go with cornhole boards that are even smaller.
Junior-sized cornhole boards are great for kids and for people looking to play cornhole indoors where space is more limited. These boards will not offer the same type of “close to real” gameplay that a tailgate size board will offer, since they are much smaller.
This could also be a nice gift for someone looking to make their offices a little but more relaxed.
4. Mini-sized
These mini-cornhole boards are 15-3/4″ x 10-1/2″ so they are much smaller than a real cornhole board but again these can be nice gifts for kids or for someone who just wants to have some cornhole boards around.
5. Cornhole Bags
After a lot of playing, cornhole bags can get start to get worn down, especially if they are filled with real corn.
So it’s never a bad idea to give a cornhole player a set of cornhole bags for Christmas or a birthday to make sure that they always have a nice set of cornhole bags to toss around.
The exception to this is if the corn hole player is very serious and has a very specific preference for their bags.
But even if they do have a strong preference for their cornhole bags, they will still likely appreciate a set of bags featuring their university or favorite sport’s team.
You’ll have to decide if you want to give them bags filled with corn or plastic resin, though. Personally, I would just go for the plastic resin pellets if I was buying it for someone else. That’s because the corn-filled bags can bring in mold, critters, and even attract animals.
But if the bags are for someone who really likes cornhole and is more old-fashion, then you might want to just get them the traditional corn-filled bags.
6. Cornhole decals
If someone already has a cornhole board, you can get them a cornhole decal with their favorite team, school, etc. on it.
Even if they end up deciding not to use it on their cornhole board, at least they’ll have a sweet decal to do whatever they want to do with.
7. Cornhole skins
You can also get them a cornhole skin which covers the entire cornhole board.
You want to make sure that they’ll use that though since cornhole skins can only really be used for cornhole boards.
8. Carrying case
A lot of people have corn hole boards but have no way to carry those boards around efficiently. Or, they have old raggedy cases that they have been using to lug around their corn hole boards for sometime.
So for any cornhole owner a carrying case is usually very welcomed.
These would not only make it easier to transport sometimes heavy cornhole boards, but they can also provide a nice storage bag for the cornhole boards.
9. Cornhole scoreboard
Even though cornhole scoring is very straightforward and not very complicated, a lot of people still like to keep score on a actual scoreboard.
It makes things more official and also forces the players to remain honest about their scores so it is usually a very good idea.
